Miss Lena M. Nelson, 86, 7726 - 26th Ave., died at her home on Friday. Born i Kenosha on Jan. 2, 1891, she was the daughter of late Mr. and Mrs. Antone M. Nelson.
She received her education in Kenosha schools and was a graduate of Kenosha High School, Milwauke Normal School and the University of Chicago.
She was employed by Kenosha Unified School District, serving as principal of Durkee Elementary School for over 20 years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Delta Kappa Gamma, Business and Professional Women's Club, the Schubert Club, Kenosha Historical Society, and the Retired Teachers Association.
A sister, Mrs. Rudolph (Amy A.) Hartnek, Kenosha, survives her.
